Our Founder
Yair Frenkel
Yair Frenkel personifies the American dream. Frenkel came to Austin in 2008 because he’d heard the music scene was the best in the world. While playing gigs Frankel lived out of his car, but he didn’t mind – he was so happy to be in America.
While fun, playing gigs at local Austin bars didn’t pay the bills, so Frankel started doing one off locksmithing jobs. He loved seeing the town and meeting the people. In no time he had a one-man shop of his own.
In 2010 he hired his first employee who’s still with him today and had since grown to employ over 30 people throughout the state of Texas. Today Premier Locksmith services 10’s of thousands of Texans a year and is now one of the largest locksmith operators in the state.
Frankel’s business now operates in Corpus Christie, Houston, Austin, Dallas, San Marcos, Austin, Dallas, San Marcos, Killeen, New Braunfels, San Antonio and Temple.
Frenkel places a very high value on military experience. He has a special place in his heart for his fellow veterans which prompted him to develop Premier Locksmith’s preferred veterans hiring program.
Frankel has big hopes for 2018 and plans to expand beyond Texas to neighboring states Oklahoma and Louisiana. Ever and always he is excited about what the future holds.
